Green Home Makeovers! - Energy Expert Erik Daugherty and Renovation Expert Lynn Taylor TUESDAY, March 5 from 6:00 - 7:30 PM at the Green Hills Library -3701 Benham Ave., Nashvllle FREE w/Raffle Giveaway and Refreshments! Home Energy and Home Performance expert, Erik Daugherty teams up with Home Renovation expert Lynn Taylor to explain how to effectively renovate an older home to achieve greater comfort, style and energy efficiency while maintaining old hold charm. Erik Daugherty grew up in Nashville, earned a graduate degree in sustainable development in Sweden, and founded E3 INNOVATE to help improve the energy efficiency of existing and new homes. Erik serves several non-profits in Middle Tennessee, including the Middle Tennessee Chapter of the USGBC (vice chair of the board), and Trust for the Future (board member). WEBINAR - The Healthier, More Energy Efficient Home ~ Monday, September 26 @ 6:30 PM Jeff Middlebrooks of E3 Innovate, LLC will perform a webinar on the fundamentals to making a home more energy efficient, healthy, and comfortable. Jeff will focus on the building science of performance based energy efficient retrofits as well as the building science of constructing a new home to advanced energy efficient standards. He will also present real world case studies that demonstrate what projects at your home will earn you the quickest payback and highest return on investment. Jeff will also provide a demonstration of the diagnostic tests (blower door and duct blaster) he uses while performing a home energy audit and walk you through easy, do-it-yourself projects to make your home more energy efficient.

Saturday, April 23, from 11 am to 7 pm * Nashville Earth Day Festival The event will feature many exhibits and activities aimed at educating Middle Tennesseans about protecting our environment. With nearly a hundred family-friendly booths, hosted by community groups, environmental organizations and government agencies, will offer fun and exciting hands-on activities for all ages. Live entertainment will start at 11 a.m. on the Youth Stage and will continue at 2:00 p.m. in the bandshell. The event is free and open to all ages. It is a rain or shine event.
